  Snap-in HIPAA Transaction Compliance

HIPAA Compliance Statement

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, known as HIPAA, was signed into law in August of 1996. The administrative simplification provisions of HIPAA establish the standards for the electronic transmission of health care claims and other transactions and the procedures to be used to protect the confidentiality and security of medical records and other personal health information. For more information regarding HIPAA and compliance deadlines, visit http://www.cms.gov/hipaa/hipaa2/default.asp.

Ivertex is committed to assisting both providers and payers in achieving HIPAA compliance by developing and providing electronic data interchange (EDI) products and solutions which meet the regulatory requirements for transactions, codes, and security. Our mission is to enable small and medium sized providers and payers with the most cost effective, easy to implement and direct HIPAA transaction tool possible. We don't believe that compliance should be complex or expensive.

Our products have been developed “from the ground up” by our in-house, industry experienced development team specifically for the purpose of allowing our customers to adhere to HIPAA EDI compliance rules NOW and easily remain in compliance in the future. Ivertex will continue to monitor regulatory requirements and the marketplace to implement product enhancements as needed. We will communicate the availability of all software updates to partner with our customers in their ongoing HIPAA compliance efforts. In other words, we are providing a long-term, cost-effective solution rather than a “quick fix” for meeting the initial compliance deadlines.

Although we realize that it takes more than just installing some software to be fully HIPAA compliant, providers need vendors who are backing their products if they are ever going to be compliant themselves. Ivertex products are HIPAA compliant in the areas we say they are, once configured and verified by partner testing. We conduct extensive testing, and if you do find any deficiencies in our products then tell us about it and we'll start fixing it the very same day.

SolAce is compliant with HIPAA Transaction Rule and currently supports 837 Professional outbound and inbound, 837 Institutional outbound, 997 Acknowledgment, 864 Report, and 835 Remittance Advice inbound. SolAce will recognize but not process other transactions at this time. 837 multi-payer COB and Dental, 835 ERA outbound, and 837 Institutional inbound support is in trading partner testing now.

If you have further question regarding the HIPAA compliance of any Ivertex products or solutions, please feel free to contact us.
