SolAce version 2.0 is now shipping, with clearinghouse support integrated seamlessly into the product and providing access to over 1,100 commercial payers for free. SolAce is unique in that it maintains high accuracy rates for both direct and clearinghouse claims. Automated transmit modules are currently available for Noridian, Arkansas, NHIC, WPS, AdminaStar, HGSA, Triple S, CIGNA, Palmetto, Cahaba, and Empire Medicare (NJ), as well as ACS and New Mexico Medicaids.

SolAce version 1.1 was released Feb 11, 2003, with communications support for California and Cahaba Medicares, and Regence BCBS systems, plus a ton of new edit checks. We are still certifying with these regions currently. SolAce version 1.1 supports multiple communication channels, including dial-up FTP, secure Internet FTP, and modem scripts. Also supports manual send/receive for payers who have web portals for transaction exchange.

An add-on for SolAce is now available that supports two-way 837 Professional translation. While this may not be valuable for the average medical provider, it is a welcome addition for TPAs and employer health plans, including worker's comp, government agencies, and subcontractors. With one package someone can generate 837 transactions and transmit them securely to another party who can use the same product to import, view, print, edit, and even regenerate an 837 for their system. You can also write automatic edits in JavaScript! We are adding NSF support after much resistance, since most Medicaid's will not be ready soon and still rely on NSF.

All ACE customers should have received our mailings at this point. SolAce is stable with enhancements for some Noridian system issues and fixes for some modem problems. Congratulations to several of our customers who reached production status in November, and welcome to the world of HIPAA! Everything has gone very well for SolAce in its first month. We are researching adding other payers now and hope to have a plan that we can make public in the next month or two for letting SolAce talk to more than just Medicare.

We moved into new offices during the Thanksgiving holiday. Our new phone numbers are:

Office
602.439.2525
Fax
602.439.0808
Our phone system requires that you press the # key after choosing an
extension. For example, to reach sales you must press 2 and then #.

We had a problem with Noridian wanting Tax IDs for referring and supervising physicians. We argued the point with them and they are correcting their system, which they said will take about a month. Until that time you should use the new UPIN feature in SolAce to put in Tax IDs if you are having claims reject. The UPIN feature will be completely optional after Noridian makes their correction, though still required for acceptance for some specialties and coding situations.

SolAce is now shipping. We sent out order forms to around 200 customers so far and will be sending more out each week so we don't overwhelm the Medicare carriers. If you want it quicker than our mailings you can call us at 602.439.2525 and we'll either make sure you get into the next mailing or take your order over the phone.

September 13, 2002
SolAce is now certified in the Arkansas and Noridian regions (11 states). We are still testing to ensure all provider specialties are handled accurately before we roll it out. Check back here or look for a mailing around the first of October to order your copy.

SolAce is the new version of ACE, and will be released this October by Ivertex. At this time we are finalizing our controlled testing process and completing testing and certification with the regional Medicare insurance carriers. We are very close to certification in the Arkansas Region, and have been recently advised that the Noridian Region requires each practitioner to certify individually.

With the release of SolAce EMC comes more exciting news on the organizational front. Carlos Redondo of SolRac Company has joined forces with Ivertex as the Vice President of Sales. As the distributor of ACE software since 1992, Carlos will be an integral part of the Ivertex team as we roll out SolAce. The Ivertex team has spent the last year developing SolAce to be our foundation for snap-in HIPAA compliant software tools. Jeff Benjamin is the founder of Ivertex, and met Carlos while developing the original version of ACE for the southwest region.

Product Summary

SolAce EMC is a desktop application that imports printed claims from a print file, provides claim entry features, performs instant payer-specific edit checks, and automatically transmits and reconciles transmission for you. There are no per-claim or per-provider fees with SolAce for the majority of payers due to our direct links and clearinghouse partnerships.
